Julia McGuire announces new beekeeping program for Iowan Youth
For budding bee enthusiasts aged 13-16! Julia McGuire of West Des Moines, seasoned beekeeper, unveils an exciting Youth Beekeeping Program!
Julia McGuire is a beekeeper in West Des Moines, she has been a beekeeper since 2011 and has taught beekeeping since 2014. On Dec. 1, McGuire announced news of a new beekeeping program. This program is available for youth ages 13-16 that are interested in beekeeping. The youth beekeeping program includes free virtual Beekeeping 101 classes for a six-week duration followed by monthly in-person sessions and the youth bee camp in May 2024. The deadline to sign up for the program is Jan. 1, 2024. The program provides a great opportunity for youth who are interested in this field and provides more insight for their families.
