Farmers’ Market October Hours and Winter Market Announced
The Downtown Farmers’ Market in Des Moines shifts to 8 a.m. – Noon in October, featuring fall produce and holiday treats.
The Greater Des Moines Partnership announced the fall hours for the Downtown Farmers’ Market. The new hours for the market will be 8 a.m. – noon starting the first Saturday of October. Throughout October, there will be a wide variety of fall produce available, like sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and apples, as well as fall-themed treats like caramel apples, cider, and more. The Winter Farmers’ Market will return Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Nov. 22 – 24, in Hall C of the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. The winter market will provide late-season produce, baked goods, holiday gifts and more. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
