Central Iowa mentoring nonprofit organizes fall fundraiser for young Iowans

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa, a mentoring nonprofit, returns this year to raise funds for its cause through community connection on Monday, Sept. 28, at the Tournament Club of Iowa.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraiser allows local businesses and community leaders the opportunity to support youth mentoring through Big Shots Golf, one of the top golf events of the year. The fundraiser will include a variety of amenities, including:

• Custom Keepsakes: a personalized golf ball designed by the organization’s Littles.

• Gift Bags: snacks, day-of essentials, gift cards, and among other surprises.

• Food and drinks: from a coffee bar to a boxed lunch mid-round and hors d’oeuvres at the conclusion.

“Big Shots Golf brings our community together to support something that truly matters; ensuring more young people have the opportunity to be matched with a caring mentor,” said Bridget Cravens-Neely, chief executive officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa, in a press release. “We know mentoring is essential, and the generosity of our sponsors, golfers and supporters helps make those life-changing relationships possible for youth across Central Iowa.”

All sponsorships and foursomes in the event include marketing promotions, such as emails, social media, registration page listings, on-site signage, and recognition in recap communications. Foursomes start at $2,500. To secure sponsorship, please register online.
