Corridor Community Action Network clothing RV damaged in a fire
CCAN’s Clothes Cruise RV, a vital community resource, was destroyed in a fire. The organization is seeking support to replace lost items.
The Corridor Community Action Network (CCAN), experienced a devasting loss of a vital asset to the community. The Clothes Cruise RV contained clothing, COVID health supplies, toiletries, sexual health supplies, and other resources provided by local organizations. The director of CCAN, Mandi Remington received the news from an Iowa City Police Officer around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1. Investigators at the scene were unable to determine the cause of the fire. “The Clothes Cruise RV was not just a vehicle; it was a means of making resources accessible to those in need,” said Mandi Remington in a media release. The organization needs support through volunteers and donations to help replace resources lost in the fire.
