Tiara Mays-Sims officially announced candidacy for State House District 43 in the Johnston area. The news was announced in a press release on Oct. 31. Mays-Sims is a Michigan-native raised in Central Iowa. She is also an Alumni of Iowa State University. Tiara Mays-Sims has served as a member on numerous boards including non-profits across the state of Iowa. Mays-Sims’ campaign advocates for public education, affordable healthcare, women’s reproductive freedom’s and more.
