Black Iowans invited to community conversations, statewide event kicks off in Des Moines on July 31
Join in for a community conversation, exploring topics of importance to African Americans in Des Moines Metro. Don’t miss it!
The Iowa State University Extension Community and Economic Development is working with Iowa Public Radio to facilitate community conversations statewide. The event’s purpose is to gain insight about stories, issues and topics that are important to the African-American community in Des Moines.
The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 31, at Corinthian Baptist Church in Des Moines.
Food and beverages, childcare, and a $15 gas card will be provided to all participants as an incentive.
