Leachmon Pit Stop BBQ
Pit Stop BBQ was established by Frank Leachmon Sr in 1977. After moving from his hometown in Kentucky he and his family moved to Salina Kansas, where he blended his love for Kentucky style soul food with Kansas City style BBQ. In 2008 Frank Leachmon Jr. reopened Pit Stop BBQ as Pit Stop BBQ Shack in Des Moines Iowa. After having a successful brick and mortar he decides to condense to a food truck where he has been a vender at several events and festivals in the Greater Des Moines area. During this time Frank Jr. has attended and placed in several BBQ competitions and appeared on the first season of Pit Masters BBQ.
