Iowa Ranked Bottom on States With Most Racial Progress

Iowa ranks low in racial progress and integration in new analysis measuring gaps in education, income, employment and health care.

A recent ranking of the states with the most racial progress showed a measure comparing Black-white disparities across economic, educational, civic and health outcomes over time. Iowa ranks near the bottom across all 50 states.

Iowa ranked 46 in racial progress and 50 in racial integration. The data collected information on education, income, employment, social and civic engagement and health.
