Exhibition featuring Iowa artists with mental illness or disability
Community Support Advocate to host 19th annual arts exhibit. Don’t miss out on this free event at Mainframe Studios on Friday, October 6.
Community Support Advocate’s Momentum Arts Program is hosting its 19th annual community experience of the arts. The exhibition is titled “Works of Growth and Recovery”. The opening will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6 at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines. Mainframe Studios hosts a First Friday event each first Friday of the month. The exhibit will feature artwork from 34 emerging local artists living with mental illness or disability. Artist Jill Wells will be the juror of this year’s art event.
Guests will also witness “Projected Perspectives” a mental illness-focused video presentation by Jonathan Dwight Photography. The “Works of Growth and Recovery” exhibit will be available until mid-October at Mainframe Studios.
