The Tuskegee University “Golden Voices” Concert
The Tuskegee University “Golden Voices” Concert Choir and ISU Choirs Concert:

This event is free and open to the public. We are excited to host both President Brown and The Tuskegee Golden Voices Concert Choir. The TGVCC has traveled all over the world. This will be their first time in Iowa. The Golden Voices are the 2026 Iowa State University Artist in Residence. Following the Carver Day Program on February 2, The Golden Voices will hold a joint concert with the Iowa State Choir in Stephens Auditorium at 7:30 pm on February 3. This concert is also open to the public.
This event will feature the famous Tuskegee University Golden Voices Concert Choir in collaboration with ISU Choirs as well as an interactive lecture about spirituals by Golden Voices conductor Wayne Barr. The Tuskegee University “Golden Voices” Concert Choir (GVCC) was founded in 1886 by Booker T. Washington to lead vesper services and other campus events. In addition to weekly Chapel services, it now serves as an ambassadorial organization to promote the rich heritage and legacy of Tuskegee University through choral music. Tickets are free with a goodwill donation at the door. Learn more about the Golden Voices.
