The Communities Outreach is excited to host another free Community Outreach Carnival this year. We’re reaching out for your support in making this event a larger impact. Our mission is to empower, educate, and bring families and communities together.
The event will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Evelyn Davis Park located at 1400 Forest Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa. The time will be 11AM-4PM. It is free and open to the public.
Since its establishment in 1999, the carnival has consistently provided support to families in economically diverse communities, along with the general public. Over the years, the event has impacted more than $6,000 individuals mainly from Des Moines and the surrounding areas.
* We invite your organization to set up a booth. Please bring your own table and chair, a tent is optional, maybe necessary unless in shaded area. This is a great marketing and free event and we ask that nothing is sold. There is no cost to have a booth however we do invite your business/organization to sponsor any part of the event, if possible. We have received sponsorships from $25.00 on up or feel free to purchase school supplies.
This carnival continues to feed the community, along with showcasing multicultural activities, inflatable rides, games, prizes, performing arts, and life enhancing resources aimed at fostering healthier and stronger communities.
This initiative supports educational equality outreach, through the provision of school supplies, while also offering families an opportunity to receive complimentary clothing and essential items, and to engage with a broad range of community resources. Attendees will benefit from services provided by organizations dedicated to advancing education, health, nutrition, and overall community well-being. In addition, local financial institutions will be present to share information about educational workshops
and provide one-on-one coaching in areas of investment, savings, and money management.
To schedule a booth, please contact Monica Muhammad at above info
