Black Agriculture and Farming three-part series in Iowa

Negus Rudison-Imhotep will host an upcoming three-part series about Black Agriculture and Farming. The first series will cover African Origin of Agriculture which will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April. 28 at the Waterloo Public Library. African/American Carceral Farming & Husbandry will be the topic of discussion for the second part of the series. This event is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at the Central Library in Des Moines. The last part of the series will cover S. 96 Justice for Black Farmers Act of 2023. The final series of the Black Agriculture and Farming event will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jun. 16, at the African American Museum of Iowa.

The Black Agriculture and Farming Series is a collaboration between the African American Museum of Iowa and the Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area.
