Betty Andrews, the Iowa-Nebraska NAACP State Area Conference of Branches President, has been elected to the NAACP National Board of Directors. This board consists of 64 representatives nationwide. Andrews will represent Region IV alongside three other regional representatives. Region IV is known as the Midwestern Region, which includes ten states. Election results were revealed Saturday, Feb. 17, at the NAACP National Board meeting in New York, NY. Andrews shared some insight in a press release about her plans as a board member, ” . . . and I am dedicated to working collaboratively with our Board Members, State Conference Presidents, Branch Presidents, and members to ensure our region is empowered and thrives together. I will leverage my leadership and expertise to strategically work to ensure that our region is a force for justice and remains at the forefront of progress.”
