She has always had a passion for reading and writing, with a focus on social issues and entertainment. Originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Gretchen is not only fluent in Spanish but also has a wider view of the world through an international lens. Her goal is to eventually pursue reporting with a focus on marginalized communities both in and outside the United States. She is currently aiming to achieve an M.A in Bilingual Journalism at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
