Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit Pitch Competition

The Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit offers pitch contest for new, immigrant-owned businesses. Apply by Oct 1 for the event in Ankeny, IA.

The Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit has announced a business pitch competition at its 17th annual event. Three new business owners will have the chance to compete for $5,000. The qualifications require that the business must be majority immigrant-owned by at least 51% or more. Applicants should be a new company operating between 1-3 years. They should have less than $10,000 in sales or earned revenue over the last 12 months. Any company that submits an application must be available to pitch in person at 3:30 p.m., Nov. 16, in Ankeny.

The Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. , Saturday, Nov.16, at the FFA Enrichment Center, 1055 SW Prairie Trail Pkwy, Ankeny. Potential candidates will have the opportunity to compete and present their personal story, business plan and their three-year business projections. This section of the summit is called “Underwriting Exposed Business Pitch Competition,” which aims to show the audience and participants how bankers think when it comes to giving out loans for businesses.
