NAREB’s Community Wealth Building Event in Des Moines

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers’ Greater Des Moines chapter (NAREB) is hosting a Community Wealth Building Day. This community event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 13 at the Evangelistic Missionary Church, in Des Moines. Community Wealth Building Day topics include financing/loan processes, understanding credit, the state of housing in Black America, Polk County Housing Trust Fund, homeownership, and equity. The event is free to attend and open to the public. The NAREB non-profit organization is hosting this event in observance of the 1866 Civil Rights Homestead Act. This act identified the right of ownership regardless of race, gender, or marital status.
