Learn more about the NAACP’s ACT-SO competition
Calling all talents! Learn about the ACT-SO competition for grades 9-12. Informative session Oct 14, 10-12 at Fort Des Moines Museum.
The Fort Des Moines Museum and Education Center will host an informational session about the NAACP’s Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological, and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) competition. The competition is for students in grades 9-12 but it is recommended that teachers, parents, and youth organizations attend this event as well for more insight. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Fort Des Moines Museum, in Des Moines. The ACT-SO competition encourages youth to display their talents in a variety of categories. Registration for the competition is available on the NAACP Des Moines website.
